Terms & Conditions
Last updated 5 August 2026. Reading ActuVoyage means accepting the terms below. They set out what our rankings are, what they are not, and where responsibility sits when you act on them.
1. Acceptance
By opening any page on actuvoyage.com you agree to these terms in full. If any part of them is unacceptable to you, the correct response is to leave the site rather than to keep reading and rely on the content afterwards.
These terms apply to the website only. They do not create any contract between you and the development studios we review, and they do not modify whatever agreement you may sign with one of them.
2. What this site is
ActuVoyage is an editorial publication. We research companies that build mobile game applications for clients, assess what they have shipped, and publish a ranked shortlist along with reference material about costs, process and best practices.
We are not a broker, an agency, a marketplace or a certification body. Nothing here constitutes professional advice on procurement, legal matters, taxation or investment, and no ranking position should be read as a guarantee of performance on your project.
3. How rankings are produced
Positions are decided by our editorial team using four inputs: the portfolio of games a studio has actually released, technical depth demonstrated in those releases, publicly available retention and rating data, and the clarity of the studio's own reporting during our enquiries. Scores are reviewed quarterly and can move in either direction.
Rankings are opinions formed in good faith from the evidence available at the time of writing. Reasonable people using different weightings would reach different conclusions, and you should treat our shortlist as a starting point for your own diligence rather than as a verdict.
4. Affiliate relationships
Some outbound links on this site carry a referral parameter. If you follow one of those links and later become a client of that company, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This is how the research is funded.
Commission arrangements do not buy a position. A studio cannot pay to enter the top five, to move up it, or to have criticism removed from its review. Where a commercial relationship exists we disclose it in the footer of every page, and we would rather drop a partner than distort a score.
5. Accuracy and currency
We take care with facts such as founding years, office locations, service lists and price bands, and we correct errors when they are pointed out. Even so, this industry moves quickly: teams change size, studios are acquired, rates rise and portfolios are reorganised.
Information on this site is published as it stood on the date shown and may be out of date by the time you read it. Verify anything material directly with the company before you commit money to it.
6. Price information
Cost ranges published here are indicative figures gathered while assessing studios. They reflect typical quotes for a described scope, expressed in Canadian dollars, and they exclude taxes, third party licences, marketing spend and post-launch operations unless stated.
No number on this site is an offer, a quotation or a binding estimate. Only the studio you engage can price your project, and their figure may sit outside our bands for entirely legitimate reasons.
7. Third party websites
Outbound links, including those behind View more controls, lead to websites we do not operate. We choose destinations carefully but we cannot audit their content, security, availability or business practices on an ongoing basis.
Once you leave actuvoyage.com, the terms and privacy policy of the destination govern your visit. Any contract you form there is between you and that company alone.
8. Trademarks and studio names
Company names appear here for identification and commentary, which is a normal editorial use. All trademarks remain the property of their owners and their appearance on this site does not imply endorsement, partnership or sponsorship in either direction.
The graphic marks shown beside each company in our shortlist are original illustrations created by ActuVoyage for editorial layout. They are not the official logos of those companies and must not be treated as such.
9. Our own content
Text, structure, illustrations, code and design on this site belong to ActuVoyage. You may quote short passages with a visible credit and a working link back to the page you took them from.
Republishing whole reviews, scraping the site to build a competing directory, or reusing our illustrations and layout requires written permission. Automated harvesting at a rate that degrades service for other readers is a breach of these terms.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to attempt to interfere with the site: no probing for vulnerabilities, no attempts to bypass rate limits, no injection of code through the chat window, no use of the site to distribute malware or unlawful material.
The support chat is provided for genuine questions about game app development. Using it to send abuse, spam or automated traffic is misuse and access may be blocked at the network level.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the site online continuously but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, provider incidents, denial of service attacks and ordinary internet failures can all make pages temporarily unreachable.
We may add, change or withdraw content and features at any time, including removing a studio from the shortlist, without prior notice or explanation to readers.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ActuVoyage is not liable for losses arising from decisions you make after reading this site. That includes lost profit, project overruns, disputes with a studio, delays, data loss and any indirect or consequential damage.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Where a limitation is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
13. Indemnity
If your use of this site in breach of these terms causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with that claim, including legal fees. This is limited to matters arising from your own conduct.
We will notify you promptly of any such claim and give you a fair opportunity to respond before incurring significant expense.
14. Corrections and complaints
If a review contains a factual error, tell us what is wrong and provide the evidence. Studios and readers get the same process: verified errors are corrected quickly and the update date on the page changes.
Disagreeing with a score is not the same as identifying an error. We listen to arguments about weighting, but editorial judgement remains ours and we do not remove valid criticism on request.
15. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the site develops or the law changes. The version published here at the moment of your visit is the one that applies, and the date at the top always shows when it was last touched.
Material revisions will be signalled through the cookie notice so that returning readers have a reasonable chance to notice them before continuing.
16. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the courts of that province have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, without limiting any statutory rights you hold in your own country of residence.
Questions about these terms, correction requests and permission enquiries can be sent through the contact channels on the social profiles linked in the footer of every page.
